ADJUDICATED AWARDS

All entries will be given a score by our panel of professional adjudicators. Placements of 1st, 2nd and 3rd will also be awarded in all categories (except for the Performance Division and Adult Category). Every dancer receives an event medal and placement pin(s).

SPECIAL AWARDS

Impact Awards - Evolve Impact Awards are announced at every awards session. These awards are selected by the judges based on the entries that made an impact on them, and awarded each session, before the adjudicated awards.

Choreography Awards - Evolve Choreography Awards are announced at every award session. This award is selected by one judge per awards session, based on the performances from the session.

Please note: Special Awards are not based on marks, and are awarded at the judges discretion.

PERFORMANCE DIVISION OVERALL AWARDS

Evolve Dance Competition recognizes the Top 5 Solos/Duos/Trios and Top 5 Groups/Lines from the Performance Division. Competition credits are awarded to the 1st Overall entries. Competition credits can be applied to entry fees for the 2026 season.

INTERMEDIATE DIVISION OVERALL AWARDS

SOLO AWARDS

Evolve Dance Competition recognizes the Top 5 Intermediate Mini, Junior, Teen and Senior Soloists. Evolve presents cash awards for the 1st Overall Soloist in each age category. *Soloists with multiple solos will be awarded Top 5 based on their highest scoring solo. **Intermediate Soloists do not qualify for the Provincial DanceDown. Soloists must be from the Advanced Division to qualify.

DUO/TRIO AWARDS

Evolve Dance Competition recognizes the Top 5 Intermediate Duos/Trios in the Mini, Junior, Teen and Senior age categories. Evolve presents cash awards for the 1st Overall Duo/Trio in each age category. *Intermediate Duos/Trios do not qualify for the Provincial DanceDown. Duos/Trios must be from the Advanced Division to qualify.

GROUP AWARDS

DUO/TRIO AWARDS

Evolve Dance Competition recognizes the Top 5 Advanced Duos/Trios in the Mini, Junior, Teen and Senior age categories, each of whom receive an invitation to compete at the Provincial DanceDown. Evolve presents cash awards for the 1st Overall Duo/Trio in each age category.

GROUP AWARDS

Evolve Dance Competition recognizes the Top 5 Advanced Mini, Junior, Teen and Senior Small Groups, Large Groups, Lines/Extended Lines and presents competition credit awards for the 1st Overall routines. Competition credits can be applied to entry fees for the 2026 season.

TOP PERFORMANCE BY DISCIPLINE AWARD

Top Performance by Discipline will be awarded to the highest scoring Mini/Junior and Teen/Senior routine (group, line or ext line) in each discipline listed below. Routines must be from the Advanced division. Each Top Performance Award recipient will receive $100 cash and each Runner-Up will received $50 cash! Winners and Runner-Ups in this category are also invited to compete for Performance of the Year at the Provincial DanceDown! **studios qualify based on their highest score per discipline

STUDIO SPIRIT AWARD

Evolve Dance Competition recognizes 1 studio at each event that exemplifies positivity, enthusiasm, teamwork, sportsmanship, and community.

New this season, the Studio Spirit Award will be nominated and voted on by fellow dance teachers attending the event — celebrating the studios that truly uplift and inspire those around them.

The Studio Spirit recipient will receive $250 cash toward a celebratory pizza party for their dancers! 🍕

STUDIO STANDOUT AWARDS

Every studio with a minimum of 20 entries (solos, duo/trios and groups) registered in the competition, in a minimum of 3 different group genres will be awarded Studio Standout Awards. From there, our adjudicators will select the routine that stood out to them the most from Mini/Junior Group or Line, and from Teen/Senior Group or Line (as applicable). Entries must be from the Intermediate or Advanced divisions.

All Studio Standout Award recipients will be invited back to the Evolve DanceDown on the final day of competition, to re-compete for $1500 in additional cash prizes! LEARN MORE HERE

*Over $45,000 in cash and awards per event. All awards are subject to registration minimums, Evolve Dance Competition reserves the right to combine categories for overall awards.

Evolve Dance Competition reserves the right to reduce cash awards for any event with less than 500 registered entries and for Evolve Spotlight small studios events. Events that do not meet this requirement will still be awarded cash prizes, at a 50% reduction, and/or categories may be combined for overall awards.

All cash awards, competition credits, scholarships and gift certificates will be awarded directly to the studio and are non-transferrable.

A minimum of 500 regional entries is required in order to hold the Evolve DanceDown. In the event there are less than 500 regional entries, a modified DanceDown with 2 judges may be scheduled, with a reduction in cash prizes, at the directors discretion.

Studios are eligible for one Top Performance by Discipline award, based on their highest group mark, per discipline - in both the Mini/Junior and Teen/Senior categories.
